This week starts our dissections of the animal phyla. The first dissection we will do is the arthropods. We will observe the grasshopper and crayfish. The students will have a booklet that they will do their work from the dissections and further research. Most of the information they will gather for each animal phyla will come from chapters 25-28 and the DOL appendix in the back of the book. The DOL appendix is located before the glossary.
This week we also have NESA testing block days set for Tuesday and Wednesday. During those days we have block periods throughout the day.

Monday 4/7: start the Animal Kingdom booklet and the 9 phyla cladogram
Tuesday 4/8: block scheduling odd periods, arthropod dissection
Wednesday 4/9: block scheduling even periods (5th included), arthropod dissection
Thursday 4/10: Intro to Porifera phyla notes and MINI-QUIZ
Friday 4/11: Annelid (earthworms) dissection
