week of 10/27 - 10/31

This week we will be covering cell transport. We touched on it a little last week with diffusion and osmosis, but we will continue to go in depth with passive and active transport. We will continue with our egg lab showing how molecules can pass through a membrane. This lab will span the next four days placing the egg in different liquids and watching how the egg's mass changes.
Tuesday we have the freshman Aspire test for Team Styx which the kids will be doing all day except for 5th period.
There will be quite a bit of worksheets this week to help drill them in how the molecules are moving in different scenarios so make sure you check with your student that they have those done.
This week at a glance (approx.)
Monday 10/27 : Egg Lab, Pop Up Notes on Cell transport
Tuesday 10/28 : Aspire Test
Wednesday 10/29 : Egg Lab, Osmosis Worksheet
Thursday 10/30 : Egg Lab, Cell Transport Worksheet
Friday 10/31 : Wrap up Egg Lab, Egg Lab worksheet, Active Transport Review

I will attach a copy of my powerpoint notes if anyone would like to use those to help study along with my pop up notes.

I found ANOTHER great video to help you with cellular transport. Watch it, learn it, live it!
Anything past the 9 minute mark is stuff you won't be held accountable for.
